HIGH LEA HALL - HERITAGE & HOSPITALITY
Exciting news! As we move closer to opening the doors of High Lea Hall in 2024, we are hopeful that we can find the ideal candidate to host our café over the coming months on days when the park is at its busiest. If you are interested in the position the closing date for applications is midnight Monday 29 April 2024.Having the right person in post will mean that everyone will be able to come inside and enjoy this beautiful Grade II listed mansion house including the cafe, exhibition spaces and the public toilets! Opening times will be announced shortly after the appointment. The Town Council, along with the rest of the New Mills community, is very proud of our town's rich heritage, so as well as opening up the hall to the public we are determined to maintain the Museum Accreditation status. This will help us develop the Heritage Centre at High Lea Hall. The Town Council staff are meeting with a Museum Development Programme Officer to support us with this process. We also want to encourage others to be just as fascinated as us about our local history, planning is already underway to help make this happen. To kick us off we would love to hear from any groups that would like to visit. Please contact the Town Hall and we can see if we can make it happen!
